Character Name: Duo Maxwell

Occupation: Mechanic

Basic Personality: Duo is upbeat, outspoken, and good-humored. He has a great deal of energy and charm, and applies it readily. Like most he has a serious side, but usually keeps it to himself. It especially comes out when he's trying to remember the past as flashes only come to him now and again -- usually in dreams.
Duo enjoys the company of others and being an extrovert, gets his energy from interactions. It's rare to find him alone for very long and when he's not working, he's usually out in a bar, club, or other social place. And while he likes to date, he has yet to get serious with anyone.
Though he may appear so at times, Duo is far from shallow or stupid. He's actually very intelligent; he just isn't as well-read as other people. Though he can't remember it, he wasn't in school for very long in his own world. He also has to constantly be doing something and rarely sits still, so he rarely ever reads a book or magazine.
Background: Duo appeared in Neisenma two years ago. He has only bits and pieces of his former life, and since they involve a lot of death and big machines he isn't entirely certain he wants to remember or if he even believes that it can be true. This world he's in now doesn't have these big machines and he constantly wonders if he made it up (he also thinks he might have been attacked or something and that's why he lost his memory).
He found himself to be very resourceful when it came to living on the streets (though he has no idea why) and stealing to eat for the first few weeks wasn't difficult. He did, however, get caught once and was thrown in jail for a few days. This led him to become more familiar with Shinra and the more he learned about Shinra, the less he liked.
Once he was released from jail, he figured a job would be the better option. Not many people were willing to hire someone who couldn't remember what his skills were, but Duo found he could fix mechanical things. With that for a reference, he became a mechanic in a shop and has worked there since.
While not actively a part of any rebel group, he definitely dislikes Shinra and would be willing to work against them if approached (that strong will to fight against what he considers wrong is in him, but he has no idea that it stems from his life before Neisenma).
